I have 12 years of experience as a nurse educator at a private, non-profit college. My teaching responsibilities include pharmacology, adult health, acute care clinical, research, and advanced nursing synthesis for students enrolled in both a traditional and an accelerated BSN program. I also teach a roles and interprofessional communication course and an epidemiology course in the MSN program. I am a member of numerous professional organizations as well as an Institutional Review Board. I earned my PhD with a major in Nursing Education and a minor in Applied Statistics and Research Methods from the University of Northern Colorado. I also recently earned a certificate in online teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research interests include teaching strategies for the development of clinical judgment and simulation learning and pedagogy for online leaning.
